just another day in paradise

I haven't finished unpacking (or even started). I may or may not have fallen asleep at 6:30 last night.

Here are the pictures I promised. I didn't take a ton of pictures this trip. Actually, we took a lot of video. Yes. We were those tourists.

By the way, we took all of these pictures with our point and shoot. For those of you with DSLRs, do you get really scared to take it with you places? We were way too paranoid to take it off the cruise ship. I hate that. I feel like the moments I want it the most are the ones where I don't feel comfortable bringing it along. Any suggestions for that? [It probably doesn't help that I'm very accident prone and I broke one of Nate's cameras by getting sand in the motor. UPDATE: Just dropped my camera on our wood floor. Oh man.]

Looks like you guys had a fun time. Cruises are the best! I am obsessed with your black bathing suit. Where did you find such a classy/cute/long tankini? I seriously must know (if you are okay sharing, of course). And yes, I totally agree with the DSLR comment. Most places I really want it I am eaither worried about it getting broken or stolen, or am doing something that I don't want to be hampered down by the size. But, being my true self, I usually cave and drag it along anyway. ;)

So fun! Can't wait until our cruise in March - thanks for the preview - although I don't quite think I'll look as cute in my bathingsuit...

And now you're back in 16-degree weather. :'(

Can you hide me in your suitcase next time? I could be your photographer, not that you need it or anything. Your pictures are so good!

I love these pictures! Cruises are the best. You look beautiful in every single picture.

Your DSI post just made me laugh. We just got one and Chance will hardly let me hold it b/c he's worried I'll break it and I don't really blame him! ha. i don't have the best track record!

How fun! Those ruins are amazing in Costa Maya and of course I'll mention how gorgeous Grand Cayman's beach is. Why I didn't go there daily when I lived there is beyond me! :) Glad you guys had fun!

And yes, it's so scary bringing an expensive camera to the beach because of sand. I don't think we ever brought ours if we were both going to swim, lay out, etc. We would mainly bring it if we were just going to take photos or whatever. The photos you took are great, though!

P.S. I have never seen the ruins at Costa Maya. I'm just saying that they LOOK amazing!

I almost couldn't look at this post. I'm encrusted in ice, and you're sitting (or standing) pretty in a BATHINGSUIT! With torquoise water...and white sand. I'm not going to pretend that I can handle it. Because really I'm cursing my hot-water-less situation right now.
But that doesn't mean I can't be happy for you and Nate. You two look hot. Literally. I love that you have made an appearance on your blog!

loving the black hat... audrey would be proud. i had to check and make sure i wasn't looking at pictures from the bachelor when you guys where flying across the sky... that show loves things like that. so glad you got some much deserved sunshine. oh and life's too short, i say bring the camera. it's not like it's even going to be something you can keep forever. in 2 years you'll need an updated one. just my opinion. love you IC
